Geeta : An animated Short Film Screening and Artist Discussion

Date: 4th July 2025

Time: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Venue: The Minories Art Gallery, 74 High St, Colchester, CO1 1UE

As part of the Fragile Strength project, join us for a special screening of Geeta, an animated short film created by emerging South Asian artist Chetan Bhakuni.

Through stunning visuals and emotional storytelling, Geeta invites you into a moving journey of identity, resilience, and healing, echoing the core themes of masculinity and vulnerability explored throughout Fragile Strength.

Following the screening, there will be an intimate artist discussion where Chetan Bhakuni shares the inspiration, process, and deeper meanings behind his work. It’s a rare chance to hear directly from the artist and connect more deeply with the ideas behind the film.

This event is part of Fragile Strength, our ongoing project that explores vulnerability, masculinity, and mental wellbeing through community-driven arts and dialogue. Throughout June and July, we’re also hosting a series of creative workshops, artist talks, and film screenings, including:
