Why does Artlune Circle exist?

Many people feel a genuine and lasting connection with art.

They visit exhibitions. They follow artists online. They feel moved by the stories and ideas that artworks carry. Yet when it comes to actually beginning an art collection, most hesitate.

Not because they lack the interest. Not because they lack the means. But because the art world has never made it easy to walk in.

You may have asked yourself:

  • How do serious collectors discover artists before everyone else?

  • How do you know which artwork is worth buying?

  • How do people actually begin collecting original art and where do they even start?

The truth is that most collectors begin very simply. With curiosity. With one meaningful artwork. And with the right guidance at the right moment.

That is exactly why the Artlune Collector Circle exists.

We created it for South Asian professionals and diaspora communities around the world who want to collect contemporary South Asian art in a way that feels considered, supported and genuinely exciting, without having to navigate the art world alone.

What members receive?

For £600 per year, the Artlune Collector Circle is designed to give you access, knowledge and the kind of relationships that most collectors spend years building on their own.

Benefit 1: A Personal Art Consultation: From Your First Week

Within your first two weeks of joining, you will have a private one-hour consultation with us. This is not a sales conversation. It is a genuine conversation about you, your tastes, your home, your curiosity and your goals.

We will talk about how collectors develop their eye, how artworks are priced, how to assess value and how to begin building a collection that is meaningful to you. There is no pressure to buy anything. The goal is simply to make you feel informed and confident in spaces that may have felt exclusive before.

Benefit 2: An Original Artwork for Your Collection

Within your first four months of membership, you will receive an original A5 artwork created exclusively for Artlune Collector Circle members. Each work is hand-signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

These works are never released publicly. For many members, this becomes the first piece in their personal art collection. A meaningful starting point and a genuine connection to an emerging South Asian artist whose practice is only beginning to reach wider audiences.

Benefit 3: Access to off market works: Works You Cannot Find Anywhere Else

Through Artlune's relationships with private collectors in India and beyond, members receive exclusive access to original artworks held in private collections and available only for discrete placement.

These are not works listed on gallery websites or public platforms. They are available to Artlune Collector Circle members only, shared through personal introductions and handled with complete discretion. For collectors interested in acquiring significant works outside the public market, this access is one of the most valuable aspects of membership.

Benefit 4: Virtual Exhibition Openings

Every two months, members are invited to a private virtual exhibition opening hosted by Artlune. Each exhibition is accompanied by:

  • A pre-exhibition catalogue is sent to members in advance, so you can explore the works, ask questions and begin conversations before the opening night

  • A live curatorial walkthrough with the curator or Artlune team

  • An artist discussion where you hear directly from the artists behind the works

  • An exclusive buying window: artworks in each exhibition are available to Collector Circle members only on the day of opening, before any public release

This is how serious collectors have always operated. We have built the same experience for you, wherever you are in the world.

Benefit 5: Monthly Sessions: Artist Talks and Collector Education

Every month, members join one of two types of live virtual sessions:

Artist Talks — Conversations directly with Artlune artists about their practice, their ideas, the stories behind their work and how their careers are developing. These sessions are small, informal and genuinely illuminating. Hearing an artist talk about their own work changes the way you see it.

Collector Education Sessions — Practical, honest conversations about the art world. How artworks are valued. How to understand what you are looking at. The history and context of significant works. How experienced collectors think and make decisions. These sessions are designed for people at the beginning of their journey, curious, intelligent professionals who simply haven't had the right access until now.

All monthly sessions are included in your membership and held virtually, accessible from anywhere in the world.

Benefit 6: Virtual Studio Visits

Members are invited to virtual studio visits with Artlune artists; intimate, unscripted access to the spaces where artworks are made. You will see works in progress, hear about the ideas behind them and experience a side of the art world that most people never see.

For collectors, studio visits are often the moments that create the deepest connections with artists and their work.

Benefit 7: Guest Sessions: Gallerists, Curators and Art World Voices

Throughout the year, members are invited to virtual sessions with gallerists, curators and other significant voices from the contemporary South Asian art world. These conversations offer context, perspective and relationships that would take years to build independently.

Benefit 8: The Artlune Collector Handbook

Every member receives the Artlune Collector Handbook, a practical, honest guide written to answer the questions new collectors most often ask. How to start an art collection. How to assess value. How to develop your eye over time. How to think about building a collection that grows with you.

Written simply and without jargon. It's for people at the beginning of something meaningful.

Benefit 9: Your Annual Artist Session

Once a year, each member will be invited to a virtual session with artists from the Artlune roster. An artist whose work has resonated with them during the year. A personal conversation. A chance to ask the questions you actually want to ask.

Benefit 10: In-Person Events

Throughout the year, Artlune organises in-person events in London, including private collection visits, exhibition evenings and curated experiences. These events are available to Collector Circle members at preferential rates.

Once a year, members are invited to a curated full-day experience in London, including a private visit to a collection, time with artists or curators, and the kind of access that simply cannot be replicated online. Spaces are limited, and member pricing applies.

All online sessions are included in your annual membership. In-person events are available at member-discounted rates.

Why collect emerging artists?

The global conversation around South Asian art is shifting. Institutions, collectors and curators worldwide are paying serious attention to contemporary South Asian artists, painters, sculptors and mixed-media practitioners whose work engages with questions of identity, memory, migration, culture and contemporary life across South Asia and its diaspora.

For collectors who enter this space now, the opportunity is significant. Many of the artists being shown in major international exhibitions in five years' time are working in studios today that very few people have visited.

The Artlune Collector Circle gives you access to those artists, those studios and those works, before the wider art market catches up.

Founding members

We are preparing to welcome the first 50 founding members of the Artlune Collector Circle.

These early members will help shape this art collector community as it grows, and will receive priority access to future initiatives, exhibitions and artwork releases.

Membership is limited. Once the founding cohort is full, new members will join through a quarterly waiting list, with 20 new collectors welcomed every quarter.

Join the waiting list

If you are curious about beginning your collecting journey, or simply want to explore contemporary South Asian art in a way that feels guided, considered and genuinely connected, we invite you to join the Founding Members Waiting List.

Those on the list will be the first to receive invitations when the Artlune Collector Circle opens for membership.
