Curatorial Walkthrough: Paiband

28 June 2026
Virtual Session

Step inside the exhibition through a slower, more attentive lens.

The curatorial walkthrough is a guided experience of Paiband, an hour spent moving through the exhibition with the curatorial team.

It invites you to move beyond viewing the artworks and into the thinking, questions, and quiet tensions that shape them. Guided by the curator, this walkthrough will unpack the ideas behind the exhibition: How this exhibition came to life?

We will talk about the word paiband, what it means and where it comes from. We will talk about how a painting is built, what the layers are doing, what the geometry holds. And we will leave room for what each person in the room finds when they stand in front of the work themselves.

As you move through the works, you'll explore how paiband can carry the history and memory of life of the artist. The curators will share why these works sit where they do, how the narratives unfold across the exhibition, and what conversations the exhibition hopes to begin.

Date: 28 June 2026

Time: 4:30 - 9:00 PM (IST) | 12:00 - 13:00 PM (BST)

Virtual: Google Meet

This is not a lecture. It is a shared moment of reflection. A chance to pause, look carefully, ask questions, and sit with lives and stories that are too often left in the background.

Come and experience the exhibition not just with your eyes, but with curiosity and care.
