How to be a Collector?
Workshop

8 November, 2025
Session with Vikas Garg

First Session of Artlune's Coffee Mornings

An art collector isn’t just a millionaire!

It could be anyone who values, preserves, and builds a relationship with art.

In this first session of our Artlune Coffee Mornings, join Vikas Garg, Founder and Curator at Artlune, as we redefine what being an art collector truly means.

Collecting art is more than decorating your walls with beautiful artworks. It’s about preserving culture and supporting artists. Every piece you acquire carries a story, whether it’s from an emerging local artist or an established name. Collectors play an important role in sustaining artists’ careers and ensuring their work reaches wider audiences.

Do you ever wonder how to start collecting art or where to begin?

This workshop will spill all the secrets about:

- Who an art collector really is?

- How to start your own collection?

And yes… how to look at art as an investment too?

This will be your first step into a collector's journey. It will walk you through the essentials of building your own collection; thoughtfully, meaningfully, and even as a long-term investment.

Event Description:

Starting this November 2025, Artlune invites you to join our new community initiative: Sip, Talk and Connect

Research (Source) shows that regular community gatherings play a vital role in strengthening social bonds, improving well-being, and fostering a deeper sense of belonging. In times of increasing isolation, spaces like these provide the opportunity to come together, share ideas, and create meaningful connections.

Monthly Morning Coffee is built on this belief. These gatherings are free, open, and community-led, offering a space where participants shape the conversations. Some mornings may focus on art and creative practices, while others explore culture, identity, wellness, or personal stories. The sessions encourage knowledge-sharing, co-creation, and open dialogue, helping participants exchange ideas and experiences.

At their core, they foster a sense of belonging that extends beyond the session, creating lasting community ties and a supportive environment for everyone involved.
