The Highly Sensitive Person
Do you feel everything a little more deeply than others? You’re not alone
Date: 25th July, 2025
Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Venue: The Minories, 74 High Street, Colchester CO1 1UE
Do you feel everything a little more deeply than others? You’re not alone—and this session is for you.
Inspired by the transformative book The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine N. Aron, this Draw and Talk session invites individuals who identify as emotionally attuned or deeply empathetic to explore their inner world through creative expression and conversation.
Dr. Aron’s work highlights how sensitivity, often misunderstood, is not a weakness but a profound strength that offers deep insight, connection, and creativity.
As part of the Fragile Strength project, this session reflects the core idea that vulnerability and sensitivity are not flaws, but powerful tools for healing and transformation. In a gentle, welcoming space, participants will use art as a way to process emotions and build a sense of shared understanding.
Whether you're new to drawing or consider yourself an artist, this session is about the process, not the outcome.
This isn’t just a workshop. It’s a communal moment of reflection, connection, and empowerment.
Book your spot today and be part of this conversation around mental well-being, emotional resilience, and turning sensitivity into strength.
This event is part of Fragile Strength, our ongoing project that explores vulnerability, masculinity, and mental wellbeing through community-driven arts and dialogue. Throughout June and July, we’re also hosting a series of creative workshops, artist talks, and film screenings, including:
