About the Event
Ananta Kathā speaks of the timeless stories of gods, goddesses, and mythologies that have shaped our cultural and spiritual heritage for centuries. In today’s world, where traditional practices are fading under the weight of modern life and technology, the act of preserving and passing down these narratives has become more urgent than ever. Cultural heritage is not meant to be a relic of the past, but a living force, something that grows, evolves, and continues to inspire across generations.
This exhibition invites us to reflect: what meaning do these ancient stories hold for us today? How can they guide us, and how can we preserve the art forms that carry them into the future?
Through the works of Krishna Prakash Vasant, the endangered tradition of Surpur miniature painting finds a renewed voice. Once confined to courts and nearly lost to time, it is reimagined here through delicate ink drawings that bring mythological figures and cosmic philosophies into dialogue with contemporary life. In his Trees of Life and depictions of divine beings, he creates a vision that is both rooted in heritage and alive in the present.
